Applications are being invited online for the posts of Drug Inspector, Food and Drug Administrative Service, Group-B category under the auspices of Food and Drug Administration under the Department of Medical Education and Drugs, Government of Maharashtra.

2. The details regarding social / parallel reservation of posts to be filled are as under:

3. Applications are invited through the Commission’s online application system from the candidates who fulfill the terms and conditions prescribed in the advertisement.

4. General provisions regarding posts and reservations:

4.1 The details regarding the social / parallel reservation of the above cadres / posts to be filled are as per the demand letter of the Government. Also, the above mentioned posts and reservations are likely to be changed as per the instructions of the government.

4.2 In case of change in the number of posts and reservation from the Government, the information / changes in this regard will be published on the website of the Commission from time to time and the recruitment process will be implemented accordingly.

4.3 Social and parallel reservation for various backward classes, women, proficient players, orphans etc. will be as per the orders issued by the Government from time to time.

4.4 Candidates claiming for reserved seats for women, if they want to avail the benefit of women reservation, must clearly state in their application that they are domiciled in Maharashtra and also fall into non-creamy layer (excluding Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes).

4.5 Deprived Castes (a), Nomadic Tribes. The posts reserved for (B), Nomadic Tribes (C) and Nomadic Tribes (D) categories are interchangeable and if suitable and eligible candidates are not available in the respective category for the reserved posts, the candidate in the available category will be considered on merit basis as per updated government policy.

4.6 While applying, only if a caste / tribe has been declared eligible for reservation by the State Government and if the certificate provided by the competent authority is available to the candidate, then the candidate of the concerned caste / tribe will be eligible for reservation.

4.7 Government Circular on Parallel Reservation, General Administration Department, No. SRV-2012 / Sr. No. 16/12/16-A, dated 13th August, 2014 and also Government Corrigendum, General Administration Department, No. Sankir-1118 / Sr. No. .39 / 16-A, dated 19th December, 2018 and thereafter action will be taken as per the order issued by the Government in this regard from time to time.

4.8 Certificates prescribed for candidates from economically weaker sections (EWS) as per Government Resolution, General Administration Department, No: Raadho-4019 / Pr.No.31 / 16-A, dated February 12, 2019 and dated May 31, 2029. It will be necessary to submit online application.

4.9 Updated Non Criminal Layer Certificate / Certificate issued by the competent authority and valid as on the last date of submission of application (Fiscal Year 2021-22) must be submitted as proof of being in financially weaker section.

4.10 For the purpose of service admission, action will be taken as per the policy of the government regarding the consideration of candidates for the post of non-reserved (open) post in the age limit of the society recognized as backward by the government. Details will be published on the Commission’s website from time to time.

4.11 As all the candidates (including backward class candidates) who are fulfilling the age limit and other eligibility criteria prescribed for non-open (open) candidates are being considered for recommendation for non-open (open) general post, all reserved category candidates have not reserved / available for their category. , It is mandatory to mention the information regarding their original category in the application.

4.12 The benefit of any kind of reservation is permissible only to the candidates who are ordinary residents of Maharashtra. The term ordinary resident shall have the same meaning as section 20 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

4.13 Candidates claiming any kind of reservation (social or parallel) or concessions must have a valid certificate before the prescribed date for acceptance of application as per the advertisement submitted in the prescribed form as per relevant law / rules / order.

4.94 In respect of social and parallel reservation, in the case filed in various courts, the process of recruitment will be done subject to the final decision.

4.15 player reservation:

4.15.1 Government Resolution, Department of School Education and Sports, No .: Rakridho-2002 / Pr.No.68 / Cruise-2, dated July 1, 2016, as well as Government Corrigendum, Department of School Education and Sports, No: Rakridho- 2002 / Pr.No.68 / CRUCE-2, dated 18th August, 2016, Corrigendum No.: Rakridho 2002 / Pr.No.68 / CRUCE-2, dated 11th March, 2019 and Government Corrigendum, Department of School Education and Sports, No. : Rakridho 2002 / Pr.No.68 / Cruise-2, dated 24th October, 2019 and thereafter as per the order issued by the Government from time to time in this regard, action will be taken regarding the reservation of proficient players as well as concessions in age limit.

4.15.2 In the case of candidates claiming reservation for proficient sportspersons, it is mandatory for the competent authority to certify the qualifying sports proficiency certificate before or after the last date of submission of application.

4.15.3 In order to verify that the proficiency certificate of the game is of proper standard and also that the player is eligible for selection for the reserved post for the candidate, his proficiency certificate must be submitted to the concerned Divisional Deputy Director’s Office before the date of submission of pre-examination application. Otherwise a qualified player will not be considered eligible for reservation.

4.15.4 Proficiency Certificate certified by the competent authority as to whether the player candidates are holding the prescribed qualification at the time of verification / interview of documents and proficiency certificate issued by the competent authority regarding the suitability of their proficiency certificate and the category in which the player is eligible for selection. Candidates will be considered for recommendation / appointment to the post reserved for the players in the respective cadre only after submission of verification report.

4.15.5 Player candidates with proficiency certificates of more than one sport are required to submit to the concerned Deputy Director’s Office for certification of proficiency of all sports at the same time.

4.96 Disability Reservation:

4.16.1 On the basis of Disability Persons Rights Act 2016, G.R. . 4.16.2 GR, Medical Education and Medicines Department No. Sankir 1021 / Sr.No. 38/21 / Drugs-1, dated 24th February, 2021 under the following

Individuals / candidates in the category of disabled are eligible to apply for the post:

(1) Low Vision (2) Deaf, Hard Hearing, (3) One Arm, One Leg, Both leg, One Arm and One leg Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victim, (4) Special Learning Disability, Mental Illness (5) Multiple Disabilities involving (1) to (4)

4.96.3 The posts for persons with disabilities will be out of the total number of posts to be filled.

4.16.4 The eligibility of persons with disabilities for the respective cadre / post shall be as per the order issued by the Government from time to time. 4.96.5 While recommending for posts reserved for persons with disabilities, they will be recommended according to the number of persons with disabilities regardless of the social category.

4.16.6 Candidates / persons holding at least 40% disability certificate of the type of disability concerned will be eligible for reservation as well as allowable facilities / concessions as per rules.

4.96.7 Candidates / persons with significant disability will be eligible to claim the following concessions:

(1) If the proportion of disability is at least 40% or more and if the post is reserved for persons with significant disability then permissible reservation and other facilities as per rules.

(2) If the proportion of disability is at least 40% or more and if the post is guaranteed for the type of disability, then as per the rules, the allowable Sai concessions.

4.96.8 Candidates who want to avail the age limit or any other type of benefit for persons with significant disability, as per the order of Government Resolution, Public Health Department, No. Apraki-2018 / Q.No.46 / Health-6, dated 14th September, 2018 It is mandatory to submit the new disability certificate distributed through the government’s computer system www.swavlambancard.gov.in or SADM.

4.96.9 Candidates with significant disability are not allowed to change the type / sub type of disability mentioned in the application. 4.97 Orphan Reservation:

4.17.19 Reservation of Orphans will be as per Government Resolution, Department of Women and Child Development, No: Orphan-2018 / Pr.No.

4.17.2 Candidates selected on merit for the post reserved for orphans include candidates belonging to the social category; Will be done from that category.

4.17.3 Candidates claiming Orphan Reservation through application for the post presented are required to submit the certificate available to them at present. Also, as per the procedure prescribed by the Government Resolution dated 23rd August, 2021, it will be necessary to submit the revised Orphan Certificate and the Domicile Certificate of the State of Maharashtra within the prescribed period. Otherwise the claim of orphan reservation will not be considered.

5. Salary Range: Drug Inspector / Food Inspector

Level S-15 Rs. 41,800 / – to Rs. 1,32,300 / – plus allowable allowance as per rules.

6. Eligibility: Drug Inspector / Food Inspector

6.1 Indian citizenship

6.2 Age limit:

6.2.1 Higher age limit is not applicable to the employees of the Government of Maharashtra.

6.2.2 Age relaxation concession for backward class candidates, disabled and sportspersons.

6.2.3 The Commission will consider relaxing the upper age limit for candidates with exceptional educational qualifications and / or exceptional experience. However, as per the provisions of the Commission’s Rules of Procedure, this provision will be considered only when there are not enough candidates for the interview.

6.2.4 In each such case, only two levels of higher educational qualification of the available candidates will be considered for concession in age limit.

6.2.5 In terms of experience, experience in a senior position will be considered for relaxing the age limit rather than the minimum experience required in the post.

7. Educational Qualifications and Experience: Drug Inspector / Food Inspector

7.1 Educational Qualification – Possess a degree in Pharmacy OR Pharmaceutical Chemistry OR Degree in Pharmacology with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology OR Microbiology from a recognized University established in India by Law.

7.2 Experience: – Possess practical experience gained after acquiring above qualification in the manufacture or testing of drugs or enforcement of the provisions of the Act for a period of not less than three years.

7.3 Preference Qualification: – Preference may be given to candidates having a post-graduate degree in the subject mentioned in sub-clause 7.1 above or research experience in the synthesis and testing of drugs.

7.4 Date of calculation of educational qualification and period of experience:

7.4.1 In accordance with the advertisement submitted, it is necessary to hold the relevant educational qualification on the last date prescribed for submission of application.
7.4.2 The duration of experience will be calculated on the last date prescribed for submission of application as per the advertisement submitted.

9. Selection Process: Drug Inspector / Food

9.1 The educational qualification, experience etc. mentioned in the advertisement is minimum and the candidate will not be eligible to be called for interview as he / she has minimum qualification.

9.2 The number of applications received as per advertisement shall be more than reasonable as per the provisions of the Commission’s Rules of Procedure and if it is not convenient to interview all the eligible candidates who have submitted the application, more educational qualification / experience or other appropriate criteria The number of candidates eligible for interview will be limited on the basis of these or through screening examination.

9.3 If it is decided to take the screening test, the qualification and / or experience will not be relaxed.

9.4 The syllabus of the screening examination, medium of examination and other matters (if applicable) shall be published on the website of the Commission.

9.5 Candidates will be recommended on the basis of interview marks only if the screening test marks and the interview marks are taken together if the screening test is taken.

Only candidates who get at least 41% and above marks in 9.6 interview will be considered for recommendation.

9.7 The selection process for the post will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Drug Inspector, Group- and Food and Drug Administration (Service Admission Rules) 2002 and Corrigendum Notification 2007 as well as the rules of procedure of the Commission.

10. How to apply:

10.1 Application submission stages:

10.1.1 To create an account (profile) by registering in the online application system of the Commission if not registered in the prescribed manner before.

10.1.2 Update if the account has been created and it needs to be updated.

10.1.3 To submit the application by uploading the required documents in the prescribed period as well as in the prescribed manner.

10.1.4 Payment of examination fee in prescribed manner.

10.2 Upload of prescribed certificate / documents.

10.2.1 After checking the eligibility of the candidate in accordance with various claims made through the profile (Check eligibility) the candidate is eligible as per advertisement.

11. Post-service conditions: Drug Inspector / Food

11.1 The appointed person will be required to pass the following ego / exam:

(A) Where the departmental / vocational examination is prescribed as per the prevailing rules or if required, the departmental / vocational examination as per the rules made thereby.

(Ii) As per the rules made for Hindi and Marathi language examination, if the person has not already passed the examination or he has not been exempted from passing the examination, then the examination

(Three) Govt. Decision, Information Technology (S.A.V.V.), No .: Matansam-2012 / S.No. 277/39, dated 04 February, 2013, Govt. , Dated January 08, 2018 and July 16, 2021 or the certificate examination regarding computer handling prescribed from time to time by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Maharashtra.

11.2 As per prescribed procedure as per Government Resolution, General Administration Department, No. No. Parivi-2714 / Pr.Sr.

Action will be taken regarding probation policy.
