National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Is the Government Institute funded by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers Government of India.
About NIPER The Government of India through an Act of Parliament (as per notification dated 26th June, 1998) established the first National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the country at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research, and development in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Management. During the years 2007 and 2008, the Government of India established six more NIPERs. Presently the following NIPERs are functioning in different parts of the country

Applicants shall apply online on www.niperhyd.ac.in as per instructions given on the website.
The process of online application shall commence on April 09, 2021, onwards and will
continue till May 08, 2021

NOTE: The centres may be altered if sufficient number of candidates does not register for a
particular city. No TA/DA will be paid for attending test / counselling /group discussion
/interview. Candidates have to make their own arrangement for stay during the online
test/counselling /group discussion/ interview (wherever applicable).
NIPERs are awarding Ph.D., M.Pharm., M.Tech. (Pharm.), M.Tech., MS (Pharm.), B.Pharm and MBA (Pharm.) as mandated to it by Section 7 (ii), (iii) and Section 32 of the NIPER Act 1998.

Eligibility
The candidate should have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET and passed the qualifying degree
with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale wherever
grades are awarded or equivalent. Percentage of marks or CGPA so calculated will be
based on the norms fixed by the concerned University/Institution or aggregate marks or
CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case
University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA.
For students ‘awaiting’ final year result: Students awaiting their final year results need to
send confidential results from official email id of their respective university Registrar before
final counselling to the following email id: admissions@niperhyd.ac.in
Note: It is mandatory to bring GPAT/GATE/NET score card at the time of counselling/group
discussion and interview. Further GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all
programmes [including M.B.A.(Pharm.)], with exceptions for the following categories of
candidates:
i. Candidates holding B.V.Sc./M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.D.S. degree
ii. Foreign Nationals
iii. Sponsored candidate from public/private sector undertaking, Govt. departments and
research and development organizations
iv. Candidates applying as NRI or their wards [in case of M.B.A.(Pharm.)]
Provisional application
Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations may also apply, but they must
produce final result and mark sheets of qualifying degree at the time of counselling
/group discussion and interview failing which their candidature shall be summarily
rejected. No plea/request in this regard shall be entertained.
Relaxation
I. Relaxation in CGPA to 6.25 (on a 10-point scale) or in marks to 55% or equivalent in
the eligibility criteria is allowed for SC and ST candidates.
II. Physically handicapped (PH) candidates are permitted relaxation in eligibility
requirement of CGPA to 5.75 (on a 10-point scale) or to 50% marks or equivalent.
No other relaxation beyond this will be allowed even if they belong to SC/ST
category.
